Introduction: I am a psychotherapist alleviating a wide field of issues and specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating/compulsive overeating, and obesity, as well as co-occurring obsession, physical ailments and mood disorders. I help clients gain discernment while practicing healthier behaviors to participate in life, decrease isolation, build relationships and cope with feelings I appreciate the role long-standing eating-disordered instructions play in the lives of my clients and their families.
I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential place where clients learn to broaden their lives beyond self-destructive patterns that abuse their bodies and hinder relationships. I help clients cultivate a sense of hope, connection, purpose, and inner well-being: a feeling that they'll be taken care of and things will be okay no matter what. I treat all ages, families, and couples, and often help form a treatment team: nutritionists, dentists, psychiatrists, acupuncturists, and integrative medicine practitioners.
I am also versed in working with clients in 12-step programs. I completed post-masters training in the integrable treatment of eating sickness at the Bulimia in New York City and Center for the Study of Anorexia.
