FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Raised as an artist, I always had an inclination to lead large scale art projects or classes, as well as mediate debates in school and direct social projects. As a teenager I read an article about Art Therapy and new this would become my primary profession. I was very curious about the human mind and knew I wanted to always be an artist. My beliefs in Art Therapy are rooted in my own experience and ability to continually heal and expand through my art making process and application of knowledge.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I frequently help clients with acceptance of themselves and those around them. I help people learn to control their impulsive reactions (i.e. anger, anxiety, helplessness) and activate more thoughtful responses to routine situations. Guide clients to understand their internal processes at their desired pace.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Allowing oneself to engage in the art making process and experience Art Therapy with a trained and skilled professional is one of greatest opportunities available. They will guide you as you learn to dialogue with your own imagery. You will enhance your understanding of your behaviors, thoughts and feelings.
