Valentina Masiello - Vltina

Hi, My name is Valentina and I use photography to tell stories, to let people see beauty in small things and to capture the very essence of my subject. I’m originally from Switzerland but moved to New York City in 2022 to pursue photography. My first camera was an old red and yellow Fisher-Price camera (the ones you buy for your kiddos), I was maybe 10 and just loved running around taking pictures of my family, dogs, plants and lots and lots of abstract photos of my own fingers in front of my camera ! I’m an eternal dreamer, a nature and animal lover (it’s the ultimate paradox you would say, moving out of a country full of mountains and big spaces to one of the biggest metropolis in the world) but I crave diversity, I like to be confronted with other opinions, surrounded by people culturally different from me. With my camera, that’s what I like to capture, the small things that makes you, you.
