Simple STEM Tutoring

Hello! I’m a passionate educator with a deep love for science. I’ve designed college-level STEM tutoring curricula, coordinated tutoring programs for school districts, adjuncted college-level chemistry labs, and privately tutored students of all ages, from elementary school to college. I believe learning should be engaging, personalized, and confidence-building. My approach isn’t just about passing exams; it’s about developing critical thinking skills that will help you long after tutoring ends. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me playing guitar. I love music, and I believe learning to play an instrument is the same as learning science. It all comes down to regular practice! During my undergraduate degree, I had the opportunity to peer-lead general chemistry recitations. This experience was eye-opening and awakened my passion for education. My teaching experience comprises over seven years of privately tutoring math and science. I have privately tutored a wide range of classes, including: elementary math foundations, algebra I and II, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, chemistry, physics, and biology. Since my degree is in chemistry, this is the subject I've tutored the most. I've worked with chemistry students in the classroom as an adjunct lab professor and individually as a private tutor. This tutoring includes high school and college students learning chemistry for the first time, all the way to students studying for the MCAT and advanced classes. I've also supported students preparing for the chemistry AP, IB, and NY Regents tests. My teaching methodology emphasizes personalized learning and confidence-building, aiming to make STEM accessible and engaging. If a student needs to succeed on an in-class test, our lessons will focus on reviewing class work, homework problems, and test-taking strategies. If a student wants to review a specific topic, we will go over my lesson plans together, and I will assign practice problems that reinforce the lesson. My job is to ensure the students succeed, and I will tailor my instruction to fit each student's learning style and goals! Learning math and science doesn’t have to be frustrating; it can be fun with the right approach!
