Introduction: My name is Ona, and I’m a musical theater performer and voice teacher. I’d love to help you get started on your singing and/or acting career! I'm multilingual so we can do classes in English, Spanish, or Catalan! I usually teach in a studio in Midtown but due to COVID-19 I’m offering online lessons.

Ona was awesome!!! I never took singing lessons before but she's super nice and supportive, I can't believe how much progress I made in only a few months. Take her lessons!

Singing Lessons

Ona is a wonderful singing coach for my 12-year-old daughter. Ona is very experienced and patient. She makes the lessons/practice very fun for my daughter. My family can hear and see my daughter's improved singing skill and greater confidence after a few lessons. We are very lucky to have Ona as our ongoing singing coach!

Singing Lessons

My name is Bo and I was interested in finding a vocal coach. I’ve played guitar for 6 years and have always wanted to be able to sing great while playing guitar. I have just started vocal lessons with Ona, but in the first lesson I am already very impressed. I received exactly what I was looking for. She was very educated, helpful, patient, and explains the material very well. If you’re looking for a great vocal coach that caters to your specific needs and interests, then Ona is the one for you!

Singing Lessons

I just started working with Ona with very little experience in singing and am really happy with the lessons so far. She immediately made me feel comfortable and is incredibly kind and encouraging. She goes above and beyond to ensure my understanding and to fill in any gaps in my knowledge. As a beginner, I feel that I'm in good hands and would 100% recommend Ona if you're looking to get started with voice lessons.

Singing Lessons

Loved my singing lessons with Ona. I really feel like her expertise helped me improve my voice and unlock things I never knew I could do before. I’d never been comfortable singing in front of anyone before but she gave me the confidence to do it. Appreciative of everything she did for me!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I have a cancellation policy of 48h in advance, if not respected there’s a full lesson fee or we can reschedule for the same week.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

VOICE LESSONS: On our first session together we will establish your vocal level, your vocal range, singing goals and a plan to accomplish those goals. ACTING LESSONS: On our first session together we will establish acting goals, and we will dive into Meisner (repetitions, cold reads, etcetera), then I will assign you a monologue to work on.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

VOICE LESSONS: I have been singing for 15 years. I started in choir and went on to get my singing education and to do musical theater. I am a semi-finalist of the 2020 edition of “So You Think You Can Belt”. I have been teaching voice for 2 years. ACTING LESSONS: I have been acting for 17 years. I started performing in plays when I was a kid and have gone on to perform, write, and produce my own play (Reunited with a Stranger) in NYC and perform with my sketch team Rococo every month in NYC. I am trained in Meisner from Matthew Corozine Studios and in Improv from Magnet Theater.
