About
Please note: I would be very happy to work with you and help you improve your voice. But please note that my studio is in Manhattan on West 66th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue. So if you would like to choose me, please be sure that you are willing to travel into Manhattan if you live further away. Much thanks!
If you want to learn about your voice and improve your range and repertoire, I believe your will work well with me. I teach a solid vocal and acting technique and my students improve quickly (if they are committed and work hard!) I also have a voice class once a month so my students get a chance to perform their audition/performance pieces and receive acting direction.
I love music and performing - it feels me with joy. I enjoy so much now, teaching others what I've learned throughout my life. It is wonderful to see how my students improve and find their voice and confidence.
I charge $80 for an hour lesson.

I’ve been working with Pamela for a few sessions now, and I immediately felt comfortable with her. She’s super sweet, professional, and really knows her stuff. I’m starting from scratch since I have no singing experience, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does. She makes learning fun and easy to follow. 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Pamela is such a pleasure to work with and I look forward to having my lessons with her each time! She provides great input for improving my technique and has a great knowledge of music to help guide me towards some songs that can be better suited to my voice, which I find very insightful as well! I’m looking forward to continuing to work with Pamela!

Pamela is a great teacher- kind, supportive, and experienced. She really met me where I was at and helped me re-enter the world of vocal training after not singing for many years. Would definitely recommend her to anyone, regardless of their skill level!

Pamela and I only had one lesson to prepare me for an audition and she did great! She could give me advices I didn’t hear yet which helped me to improve my singing on that performance immediately!
She is a very nice and humble person!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $80/hour. I also will do a 45 minute lesson for $70. I generally do not do 30 minute lessons because I cannot cover everything we need to in that time (go through exercises and repertoire).
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I do is welcome the new student. I explain what technique is and how important it is to improving the voice. We go through specific exercises and I explain what each one if for and how it will help. We spend about half the lesson on exercises and half on repertoire.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Stetson University and a Masters of Music in Voice from Manhattan School of Music. I also have 30+ years experience singing at New York City Opera and other venues. In fact, I continue to study voice with a wonderful teacher, Mr. David Jones. David is my teaching mentor as well. He holds two Teaching Seminars on teaching voice and the Swedish-Italian technique each year in NYC that I attend. He actually does these seminars all over the U.S. and in Europe. I continue to study, practice and work on my voice which gives me great joy. If you don't use it, you lose it!
