Introduction: If you want to learn about your voice and improve your range and repertoire, I believe your will work well with me. I teach a solid vocal and acting technique and my students improve quickly (if they are committed and work hard!) I also have a voice class once a month so my students get a chance to perform their audition/performance pieces and receive acting direction. I love music and performing - it feels me with joy. I enjoy so much now, teaching others what I've learned throughout my life. It is wonderful to see how my students improve and find their voice and confidence. I charge $70 for an hour lesson and $60 for a 45 minute lesson.

Singing Lessons

Pamela and I only had one lesson to prepare me for an audition and she did great! She could give me advices I didn’t hear yet which helped me to improve my singing on that performance immediately! She is a very nice and humble person!

Singing Lessons (for adults)

Pamela is amazing. She has been my voice teacher for while now, and I always look forward to our lessons. She is kind, honest, and truly sees the talent in potential in all who come to her. I'm a actress by training and new to the singing world, and she has opened my eyes to how fun voice training is and how everyone can sing if they have the will and passion (and the right teacher, which she certainly is).

Singing Lessons

I had an absolutely fantastic lesson with Pamela today, and I am so glad to be able to work with her! I'm a very out of practice singer (I haven't sung anything in about a decade) and I wanted to begin lessons again to get my voice back in shape. Pamela gave me an excellent variety of vocal exercises to begin with, and I went from feeling very discouraged to very excited to be singing again. She was pleasant and encouraging, along with being extremely knowledgeable. I very much look forward to our future lessons, and I highly recommend her, especially for someone like me who has newly returned to, or new to singing.

Thank you, Ariel, for your great review! I'm very happy that you have decided to start singing again because you certainly have the voice! Looking forward to working with you as you discover how far you can go!

This is a LOOONG overdue review. I started working with Pamela on a referral from a friend. When you meet her she just exudes this bubbly warmth and friendliness that puts you at ease. I have a bit of a singing background and have invested in vocal lessons before. Those lessons always felt basic. Pamela's vocal lessons are....I mean the best way I can describe it is that you feel like you are learning top secret tipe and techniques!!! And they are SOOOO effective!!! I found out that I have a singing voice inside my singing voice!!! And IT'S BETTER THAN MY SINGING VOICE!!! She has introduced me to other styles of singing that I thought was beyond my ability!!! So is she effing phenomenal??? ABSOLUTELY!!!! I guess the real reason it took me this long to write this review is because I DON'T WANT YA'LL TO KNOW HOW GREAT SHE IS!!! Why? SHE MIGHT NOT HAVE TIME FOR ME!!!! I know it's selfish but she's that wonderful. I do not want to share her. But since I have to, I might as well let ya'll know you will not find a more patient, caring, and attentive vocal coach anywhere ever in life period!

Singing Lessons

I wasn’t able to work with Pamela because of vocal health issues but her attention and advice as I was suffering through it was amazing. I hope for the chance to work with her in a music room soon.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $70/hour. I also will do a 45 minute lesson for $60. I generally do not do 30 minute lessons because I cannot cover everything we need to in that time (go through exercises and repertoire).

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelor of Music in Voice from Stetson University and a Masters of Music in Voice from Manhattan School of Music. I also have 30+ years experience singing at New York City Opera and other venues. In fact, I continue to study voice with a wonderful teacher, Mr. David Jones. David is my teaching mentor as well. He holds two Teaching Seminars on teaching voice and the Swedish-Italian technique each year in NYC that I attend. He actually does these seminars all over the U.S. and in Europe. I continue to study, practice and work on my voice which gives me great joy. If you don't use it, you lose it!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I always loved singing. I started studying piano at age 6 (my older brother studied piano and I followed in his footsteps). I studied through High School - but then I found my voice and starred in the musicals. Once I did that, I had to sing! And since I come from a family of teachers, it was just a natural extension for me to teach.
