I take a holistic and foundational approach with my students. I understand that no two students operate the same way, and so I tailor my lessons and instructions towards the best style for my students. We all know when it comes to the SATs there is guaranteed to be a lot of stress. As a sixteen year old high school student going through the SAT process, I can vouch for this. My anxiety began months ago. I admired people who had started their SAT prep a year before, while envying students who were just naturally good test takers, scoring 2000 and up; however, when you dont fit into either of those categories you start wondering what now? At that point an SAT tutor seemed like a good idea. Enter Danny Ahn. The first time I met Danny, I was unsure what to expect. He understood my confusion and began to structure a plan of action. He soon established the level I was at in English and Math, and then focused in. After a few sessions I began to understand the kind of approach required of me. I have worked with Danny Ahn weekly since around late October or early November, 2013 and our work is ongoing. It is now Feb. 17, 2014. I have found Danny to be a good communicator and listener. He is dedicated, nurturing, focused, and hardworking, going beyond his allotted time with me to help me achieve my goals. He genuinely cares about my mental well being as well as my academic standing. He is readily available on the phone and via text, and has proven to be accommodating with regards to scheduling. I believe that Danny is pushing me in the right direction and I am feeling increasingly more confident with regards to the dreaded upcoming SATs. Danny has an excellent understanding of the SAT requirements and I feel that with his continued guidance I can achieve my goals.

What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my clients are high school students who are preparing for the SAT/ACT test. They come to me feeling anxious about the test, feeling the heavy weight of its importance for their future. My goal is to assuage these feelings of anxiety while equipping my students with the tools and the self-assurance necessary to conquer the test. I equip them with a standard strategy to do the test normally, as well as a "panic" strategy to use if they get into trouble or are running out of time. My students have achieved great success using both, and I look forward to working with others who wish to excel.
