I also co-founded a teen summer entrepreneurship program.

I worked with Horace to prepare for the LSAT, and I can confidently say that he was the best tutor I had worked with throughout the entire process. A great investment for me and my specific needs/law school journey.
When I started, my diagnostic score was a 138, and I eventually worked my way up to a 168 — a 30-point improvement! That didn’t happen overnight. It took time, consistency, and effort, but having Horace as my tutor made a significant difference.
I really valued the accountability. He was really good at this. Even when I made things tough for us. We worked together consistently, sometimes nearly every day, and he helped me stay focused and engaged with the material. There were definitely times when I struggled or felt stuck, but he was patient, flexible, and willing to work through those challenges with me.
Thank you, again. I lowkey enjoyed studying for the LSAT. It was something that was entirely new to me.

I especially enjoyed the worksheets that Horace provided; there was clear, structured work to complete in between sessions, and this guided study was very helpful. Horace helped me prepare for both the GRE and the LSAT, and helped me formulate a plan for my application to law school.

Working with Horace was one of the best decisions I made in my business school application journey. I originally hired him to help me prep for the GMAT, but after getting to know my strengths and goals, he helped me realize that the GRE was actually a better fit for me. That guidance alone was a game-changer.
Horace didn’t just teach me test-taking strategies—he helped me build a personalized game plan that played to my strengths and maximized my potential. With his support, I hit my target score and got into my top-choice business schools.
He’s more than just a tutor—he’s a coach, strategist, and motivator. If you’re serious about reaching your goals, I can’t recommend Horace highly enough.

My son decided to write the SAT very late into his senior year. He took the test once and fell short of his target. Then Horace took over. Horace understood his weak areas and since time was short, he decided to target specific areas of the test that will give him a boost. This worked. Last SAT, his score went up 150 points. Horace is also a caring person and followed up with the student till his last night if the exam. Definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve or start their SAT journey.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$140/hour for online sessions with discounted pricing for prepaid packages.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I provide an individualized coaching experience but generally start in one of two ways. If credible practice tests have already been taken, I’ll often ask to see those so that I can identify targeted opportunities. I’ll follow up that analysis with a more detailed conversation to get a better sense of the client's experience beyond the responses. For clients who have not yet done any credible practice or official tests, we’ll begin with a diagnostic test so that we can figure an efficient and effective path to the client's goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been involved in high stakes academic competition since my days representing my elementary school at the national spelling bee and my church at our National Sunday School competition (3 time champion, twice runner up). Since then I have competed successfully in National Mathematics competitions and successfully navigated a wide array of professional and academic exams. My success in these exams have helped me gain admission to our nation’s most selective universities and job opportunities at elite consultancies.
Teaching and coaching I learned thru apprenticeship. As a teaching assistant, I learned from professors committed to motivating highly ambitious and motivated students. As a track and field coach, I learned from my own coaches in high school and college. As a student preparing for management consulting interviews but coming from a non-traditional background (my academic training is in History), I learned from consultants who had had success and learned along the way as I successful coached fellow non-MBA students. I learned even more as I paid it forward while coaching aspiring consultants at universities in the North East and the Midwest. I have continued this learning by doing as I helped people preparing for more traditional standardized tests and young entrepreneurs and college aspirants.
