FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a sliding scale policy. We can discuss the cost that is right for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first few sessions (2-4) are about getting to know the person, their history and the presenting problem. Following sessions will address the symptoms of the problem, while also letting the client speak freely about whatever is on their mind. The more "free" the person feels in therapy, the better the therapy process is. I strive to create a comfortable atmosphere and nothing that you say is too big or too small. Solutions and insight will come as a process of therapy. You, the client, decide how far and how deep to explore and you are the captain of the ship. I am here as a guide, to help you discover more of who you are and to help you achieve your goals.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling. In addition, I hold a Certificate in Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy from the Albert Ellis Institute and I have attended workshops on a variety of therapy modalities. More information about my training and the issues that I work with can be found on my website.
