Introduction

ABOUT OUR TEAM Tonisha is the owner and Lead Dancer of the Dancing Designer, a creative production company. A professional dancer with over 12 years experience performing with major recording artists, for music videos, movies, TV shows + award shows. Her unique process involves working from the students natural body movement while encompassing the performance elements of body movement + musicality. This organic process helps to solidify the student’s skill set, dance capabilities and confidence. Our diverse and talented team of 6 instructors who we like to refer to as the CREATIVE COLLECTIVE bring different dance styles to you, be it hip-hop or salsa, contemporary or jazz. It’s amazing to see students connect to their bodies and/or partners while having an “ah-ha” moment by discovering dance in a refreshing way. We have an array of classes ranging from one-on-one lessons to group classes. We also choreograph group performances for auditions, Sweet 16s and weddings. My daughter and I had the absolute best experience with the Dancing Designer. Tonisha was incredible to both me and my daughter. She made us both feel very comfortable and guided us through the experience with quality and informative 1:1 classes helping my daughter to increase her confidence on the dance floor, improve in the technical aspects of both ballet and hip hop and as a new dance mom she was very informative when it comes to all that goes into the dance world. We can’t thank her enough and will certainly be back as my daughter continues in her dance journey.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are billed at 2 hour increments, while performances are priced based on it's creative concept + needs.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting with a new customer I find out their level of experience if any, their goal + objectives, then we schedule our first lesson. I film the end of our lessons and send you the video so you can practice + review on your own to help you get further to your dancing goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
12+ years experiences as a professional dancer + instructor. I've choreographed for Lynn University Dance Team, FAU Dance Team + Live Performances. I've performed in a myriad of music videos, commercials, movies + award shows. I have experience teaching both children + adults in all forms of dancing.
