About
My students stand out because they mature as players more quickly than other instructors' students seem to. I pay more attention to having the best possible technique and how the student 'sounds' than other teachers in my bracket seem to. I have vast experience with ensemble gigs, both jazz & rock groups, reading gigs like musicals, and i refer to it in my teaching often for the students' benefit. My goal is to have you playing drums with other music students/musicians--not just mastering exercises in your bedroom on a pad.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge monthly--you sign up for four lessons at a time (not including a trial lesson).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

All new customers get a FREE 30-min. trial lesson, whether they're a beginner or an existing drum student.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I attended a Berklee (College of Music in Boston) summer program while in High School (where I met a couple now-famous drummers), and I attended Philadelphia University of Arts after graduating H.S. After my junior year I transferred to the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, where I studied with John Riley and attended classes with students like Chris Potter, Ryan Kiser and Stephon Harris. I left after a year because I was starting to work a lot.
