FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I usually charge from $100.00 to $150.00 an hour depending on the distance of travel. Sometimes I may work with people within there budget. This is why Thumbtack is a good service because people can put in there budget for a DJ and us DJ's can view the customer's budget and what is needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would explain my DJing skills along with providing a new customer with a business card, and the link to a few demos i have on YouTube. I would explain to a new customer that I also have a contract to be filled out which will guarantee and lock in their date of the event for me to be there promptly. Most so I want to provide my customers with a secure feeling.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 39 years in the DJ/Music Entertainment business in which I've learned in NYC. My love for music started at birth and grew from there. My training is all street training when block parties were fun and exciting. You could stand around and observe the older DJ's who started all of this. The real DJ's who would come out to party with people on the block and have cookouts and have a moment of fun and peace.
