FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is reasonable, transparent, and based on time and materials. I’m upfront about how long a project should take, and if I’m tackling something for the first time, I always let the customer know. I do not believe in surprise fees or padding hours—fairness and honesty guide everything I do. I want customers to feel confident that they’re getting quality work at a fair price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by talking with the customer to understand what needs to be done and what their timeline looks like. I am transparent when it comes to my level of expertise and my familiarity with any proposed project. I provide a reasonable estimate of the project's costs, time horizons, and materials needed. I am transparent, ensure clear and close communication, work diligently, and clean up thoroughly before leaving. My goal is to keep the customer informed at every step so there are no surprises.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
While my background is in finance and regulatory compliance, I have decades of hands-on experience with home repairs, renovations, and small projects. I am diligent about learning new skills, researching unfamiliar tasks, and following the correct methods and safety practices. My career as a Bank Examiner instilled principles that apply directly to handyman work: precision, honesty, attention to detail, and accountability.
