- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Exhale Photojournalism's rates on Thumbtack are discounted several times their rate outside of Thumbtack. I know most people on Thumbtack have lower budgets and are trying to find an excellent photographer/videographer for a discounted price. The reason I reduce my rate on Thumbtack is because I'm looking to fill a few blank dates on my calendar for the current season. I still work just as hard to complete an amazing job for all my clients at whatever rate we negotiate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step for the potential client to text, call or email me back. Thumbtack's messaging service works rather well. The next step is to talk on the phone to get to know one another and work out the timeline and budget. If we are on the same page then I'll write-up a contract and save the date on my calendar.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Journalism with a concentration in PhotoJournalism. I was a photojournalist for 10 years and worked for The New York Times, National Geographic, The Associated Press among many other editorials. I also have worked in video for ABC and I've produced, shot and edited my own videos for many corporate and social clients. I've worked with Hillary Clinton, Martha Stewart, Mark Cuban, Bill Clinton and many more notable people whom have trusted me.
