Finding someone that has the ability to do what they say can be a difficult task. Our project was not an easy one. 120 year old home that needed a great amount of TLC due to the the choices and actions, or lack of knowledge that previous owners had done and left a great challenge for anyone. Neil and his team at Afterglow Painting, or I should say Neil himself isn't what you would think, the brothers that only do the painting are good fun loving people that get a job done. Now as I learned a few things after the job was finished, I realized that we didn't get the job we should have. I prefer people that want to take pride in their work would. Neil, I have been told, is responsible for all prepping of surfaces in the project. I mean if you hire a French Chef and you get large order of French fries, no Burger mind you from Mc D's are you happy? I have the mind to discuss the issues with an attorney, possibly with 8X10 glossy photos, which is my right, but I'm preparing myself on redoing.... 60 to 70 percent of the work that has or should I say just doing what we were lead to believe was going to be done, like spending more time on the site rather than the absence that we witnessed. You would think that people would understand sarcastic remarks are not humor alone. Time is a precious thing when it's limited as well as physical abilities, but I myself shall push through with the task at hand without being compensated financially, which Neil, very well I might add has been! Unfortunately for my labor or any more materials I may and I'm sure will have to purchase I will not be compensated and will just have to suck it up, possibly.

Good evening Glenn! I didn’t receive a text message from you nor a phone call on any discrepancies and it’s now a week later that you want to say these things! Well I’ll tell you why because we did an immaculate job no questions asked when you did a walk through with me at the end of the job and the next day Ethel handed me the rest of the monies owed. I went above and beyond for You and Ethel to move into your new home..1. The front door wasn’t supposed to be painted but I went and painted it anyways out of the kindness of my heart for FREE! 2. The contract says ceiling repairs in which I made your ceilings look brand new. Also that attic access upstairs up shed need to patch it up I put your little piece of Sheetrock in mudded it sand painted it and painted it white.. again Above and Beyond! 3. You already mudded the walls and sanded them down before you hired me..We did a walk through at the end of the job and you pointed out one hole upstairs on the wall I immediately mudded it and heated it up sanded it and painted it not counting the other 7 holes that needed repairs on the walls that weren’t in the contract and again I went above and beyond! After our walk through you did not point out one thing wrong after that! How come none of your discrepancies were brought to my attention through text or phone call? We finished a week ago! I always fix something if a homeowner isn’t happy!!! I have video and photos of a job Well Done!!

I hired Afterglow Painting to paint the interior of my very old, long-neglected house. Since I had never hired professional painters before, I relied solely on Thumbtack reviews to make my decision. Neil met me at the house, assessed the situation and provided me with a very fair estimate just hours later. Neil and his crew went right to work patching a damaged wall and painting the entire interior of my 3-bedroom house, as well as pressure-washing the exterior. He and his team were polite, professional and pleasant. Afterglow was the final and most important step in getting the house ready to sell. Most importantly, the job is totally finished, exactly a week from when I first met with Neil. You would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not consider Afterglow for you next project.
