About
Since I was a high school student myself, I have had a passion for tutoring. This led me to volunteer as a GED instructor while I was still attending college at Columbia University. After receiving my master’s degree in teaching I started tutoring other students outside of my teacher career. Today I teach AP biology and regents biology in New York and I’m looking forward in helping other students achieve their full potential!

Claryliz tutored my son in AP Biology for a period of 3 months. She was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and on time for every session. She had excellent teaching skills and my son said she made the material easier to understand with her clear explanations. We highly recommend her without hesitation to any parent looking for a biology tutor! UPDATE: My son scored a perfect 5 on his AP Biology Exam and I know for certain he could not have achieved this without the guidance and support of Claryliz!!!

For me, working with Claryliz couldn’t have been more rewarding or helpful. Not only was she extremely punctual and nice, but she was also very flexible with her schedule as well, which was useful for me as a busy high school student. Before I began tutoring with Claryliz, I’m convinced I would’ve easily received a 3 at best on the AP Bio exam. Although I go to a very good school, my AP Biology teacher was not giving nearly enough of a rigorous curriculum for us to be prepared to take the AP and do well. Once I began tutoring with Claryliz, I felt not only more prepared, but more confident in my ability to take the test and do well. The test that seemed so foreign quickly seemed less challenging. I ended up getting a 4 on the exam, and due to only utilizing Claryliz as a resource a month or two before the exam, I’m convinced that had I taken the initiative to begin sooner, I would’ve easily scored a 5. I have only good things to say about her work ethic and her teaching style, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who feels underprepared or needs help.

Ms.Peralta is the best tutor for AP Biology. I am one of her students. When I need help in class, she is able to help me understand the subjects I struggle in. She finds creative ways to explain concepts which helps me develop my study guides. She is always committed to AP Biology. She is the best!
