Very difficult to get a hold of. When you do finally make contact, the level of service leaves quite a bit to be desired. All in all, there are much better and more qualified folks out there that can manage your property or renovate your home. Paul the owner of our wives are in charge, is the most incompetent person I have ever had the unfortunate experience to deal with. Not only was he a terrible property manager, but he consistently was late in mailing our rental payments. After firing him for his incompetence, he is withholding our deposits from our renters that he NEVER should have been in possession of in the first place via the contract that we signed when he was hired. He is also holding onto our keys and other property. Do yourself a favor and do not even consider doing business with this company! I should also add that our renters were very unsatisfied with him as well, seeing that he was rarely available when they needed to get in touch with him. Oh, and he also likes to call you mental if you give him bad reviews. Everything I have said is 100% true! Trust me, and don't make the mistake that we did! Hire ANYONE else but Paul.Jul 7, 2013
Our Wives are In Charge (OWAIC) and Paul Marcel Rene are the most incompetent and terrible property managers I have ever come across. The laundry list of complaints is long, so I wont go on and on, but the icing on the cake is theft/withholding of my money! Paul has decided on occasion to hold my monthly rent checks that are due to me for some reason. After a couple of these occurrences, I decided to cancel my agreement with OWAIC. Once that happened, Paul found a number of ways to dock my (already late) check. He withdrew an extra $600 for a plumbing estimate which is still TBD. Funny, I distinctly remember in our contract that he was supposed to notify me of anything in excess of $200/month in repairs. Additionally, Paul/OWAIC is holding the $2500 in deposits that my tenant gave to him. He wont transfer them to me as I am now the new property manager for my property. Needless to say, Ive called local authorities and legal counsel. Stay away people I wouldnt trust this man to sweep my driveway let alone manage my home. Do yourselves a service and stay away from this second-rate property manager/home renovation expert. - What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask them both specific questions about the job as well as general about the type of work. The customer should be given assurances in writing of all promised work and a guarantee for the work done.
