FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $295 for a site visit which includes an hour-long consultation. This will include written recommendations for plants and garden design for the customer to use as they wish. If our services are contracted, that cost is applied to our proposal and job pricing. Design and installation services start at $80/ hr. Maintenance starts at $45/ hr with a six hour minimum. Plant costs vary depending on garden size and complexity, but all are sourced from local nurseries.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I love to hear about a garden’s triumphs and tribulations, and the owner's visions for the garden. This usually entails an on site visit of about an hour. We discuss current and future needs, and I will send a proposal with pricing within 24 hours of the site visit. If the customer wants to proceed, I provide them with a client portal via my website, and we begin the garden design proposal and design process, or they contract with me for maintenance per their needs, or both. I strive to be available to answer questions, resolve uncertainty and work within budget.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been gardening in my own and other peoples gardens for 30 years. I worked for a landscape and design company for two years whose focus was permaculture techniques, and in 2026 I became a certified professional master rain gardener.
