Introduction: It may sound cliché, to say it but every photograph I make has years of experience behind it. Many of the photographs I am making today, I would not have been able to make last year or the years before. I am constantly striving to make the best photograph I can make for myself and for my clients.

I have had the privilege of working with Dan for 20+ years. As a teenager, Dan shot several of my comp card headshots, as well as a couple of different prints for advertising campaigns. Dan was also my first choice photographer to shoot my personal CD covers. He is talented, professional, and always makes shooting with him comfortable and fun. His knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail help him capture beautiful photos. Dan's talents are not limited to just models and advertising, as he has a keen eye across the board, capturing nature in its rawest form. I am privileged to own some his finest shots of nature. They are amazing pieces of art that compliment any room. Dan is an amazing photographer, and I would strongly recommend him.

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am always trying new techniques to stay current both in digital photography and retouching. Through my continuing education, I am able to make huge panoramic prints by shooting a number of photographs and stitching them together. So far the largest I have done combines over 250 photographs into a single 4gigabyte file.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask questions. There is no way I can possible show all of the thousands of photographs I have taken over the years, but I can tell you about the specific photographs that might be related to your project and what I had to do to get good photographs for my clients.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

For every hour I spend behind the camera, I spend another hour or 2 sitting at a computer editing photographs. Digital photography allows me to capture much more than I could with conventional film but it also came with drawbacks. When I shot film, no one would ask to be thinner or taller or have people rearranges in a photograph. People were ok with power lines in the background (if they could not be avoided) or other small distractions that are now required to be removed to make a photograph acceptable.
