Introduction

There are a lot of talented people out there. What sets me apart from the others is my ability to communicate with the customer, I understand what they want and I am able to make myself understood in return. I really just like to build things. In jobs where I have had to manage people or sell things I have gotten bored very quickly. Building something always gives me a feeling of satisfaction.

It's very simple.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, every day. Everyone who works at their craft does. I am highly suspicious of certifications and credentials. In my experience, the process has much more to do with extracting money from professionals and enriching testing and training companies than with improving the breed. Aside from "M.D.", I've never found the letters following someones name to have any bearing on their knowledge.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always worked on houses but for years my real jobs was behind a desk. During the tech downturn in the late nineties I was "given the opportunity" to choose a new career. This was originally going to be temporary but I'm much happier in this line of work.
