Your First Dance by Walters assures you can achieve your wedding dance goals in 3 lessons. No contracts, no high pressure sales, pay as you take each lesson. All lessons are a FULL hour of private, easy, fun filled instruction. Regular Ballroom lessons are taught for couples as well.

Charming, fun, memorable. These three words only generalize the lessons my groom and I had with Bud Walters. We began lessons with very little knowledge of what we were doing for our first dance, and left with confidence and a greater respect for one another and how we "move together". What a great way to build a stronger connection with each other, and spend quality time in what can be a very stressful point in wedding planning. We are both so sad that our lessons are over, and hope to make a date night and continue dancing with Bud. He now feels like our adopted uncle. P.S. We also love Ross! <3

We had a wonderful experience with Mr. Walters. He was very accommodating to our schedule, as one of us was only available on weekends, and he tailored his lessons to our two different levels of experience so that we both learned new things but were able to dance together. He also paid attention to detail and style after we learned the basic steps of a routine, ensuring we put on a confident, solid presentation at our wedding. We received many compliments after our wedding on how confident we seemed with our dance. We hope to take more lessons from Mr. Walters in the future!

We took dance lessons with Bud to prepare for our wedding. Our goal was to look confident and have fun. Three lessons with Bud and we were ready. He is kind in his approach and specific in his instruction. He provides targeted feedback and asks lots of questions to make sure you feel good about the steps. I love that he doesn't teach you a choreographed routine, rather he shows you a series of steps, turns and spins that the two of you can work on together. It was tough to allow my fiance to truly lead, but we've had a great time working with Bud and are excited to show off our moves at our upcoming wedding. Even my fiance, who doesn't usually love to dance had a great time. It was a nice way to connect during the wedding planning process.

Pricing is based on ONE full hour lesson. No credit cards.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Teaching a man to lead and woman to follow is a must!. Starting out slowly with simple basics and fewer steps so the process is understood. No pressure and have a lot of fun and patience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a professional actor and teaching modeling helps having a good eye for details.
