Bud Walters is the best in the business. My fianc and I were really nervous about our first dance. We went to a dance studio by our house and had an awful experience. The instructor was impatient and insisted on teaching us to fox trot when we really wanted something slower and more romantic. We left so discouraged. I became even more nervous when TLC informed me they wanted to film our first dance as part of our wedding clip package for an episode I was featured in. We cant dance and now it was going to on national television? Luckily for uswe found the incredible Bud Walters. Bud was so fun and he made us feel comfortable and encouraged. He listened to what we wanted and incorporated it into a beautiful, joyful moment for us. Our dance was beautiful and one of the most special parts of the evening. I felt confident and radiant and so grateful to Bud for his professionalism and expertise. In two words: Bud Rocks.

I saw him at a bridal show doing the fashion show and talking about his business. He asked who was already married and I raised my hand. He then laughed at me and said "honey you're like twelve. Don't worry there's time. The second time around is usually better anyway" it was very rude and disrespectful to my marriage. I can take a joke but that was just uncalled for. What made you think that was okay to say to someone at a bridal show where you're trying to gain business. Then at the end of his little "skit" he asked another young lady in the audience when she's getting married. She responded and he said "is he the one? Unlike this girl over here" and pointed to me. I was there with 2 of my friends that are getting married and both were looking for a dance instructor. He sealed the deal and will not be getting business from either of them. (Not that I need to add but I am 26 years old and HAPPILY married and we have a child together. Divorce is not a funny subject yet he made light of it. Very disrespectful.)

Going into dance lessons, my husband and I were dreading it. But Bud broke the ice and made both of us laughing and comfortable 10 minutes in. We actually practiced and had fun with it. We did 3 lessons, and the night before our wedding we had the dance down perfectly. Bud made us into confident dancers(and that's saying a lot considering I have no rhythm and 2 left feet). I was really sad when our third lesson was over cause I wanted to just keep coming back once a week for the rest of my life. It was that great of an experience. Bud is probably in my top 10 favorite people I have ever met and you NEED to book him for your wedding. Will make all the difference, way better then just swaying on the floor for 5 minutes.

We took dance lessons with Bud to prepare for our wedding. Our goal was to look confident and have fun. Three lessons with Bud and we were ready. He is kind in his approach and specific in his instruction. He provides targeted feedback and asks lots of questions to make sure you feel good about the steps. I love that he doesn't teach you a choreographed routine, rather he shows you a series of steps, turns and spins that the two of you can work on together. It was tough to allow my fiance to truly lead, but we've had a great time working with Bud and are excited to show off our moves at our upcoming wedding. Even my fiance, who doesn't usually love to dance had a great time. It was a nice way to connect during the wedding planning process.

Teaching a man to lead and woman to follow is a must!. Starting out slowly with simple basics and fewer steps so the process is understood. No pressure and have a lot of fun and patience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Being a professional actor and teaching modeling helps having a good eye for details.
