I’m John Zupan, a Class A PGA Professional with over 47 years as a golf pro and instructor.
I’ve competed on multiple professional tours and taught more than 50,000 students, from brand‑new golfers to tour‑level players. That experience has shown me what it really takes for a beginner to shoot lower scores and for an accomplished player to consistently break par.
My philosophy is simple: it’s your swing. I don’t force you into a tour player’s mold. Instead, I use clear drills, demonstrations, and video feedback to build on what you already do well and strengthen your weak points.
You’ll receive professional guidance on full swing, short game, putting, and specialty shots—always in a patient, encouraging environment.

I have golfed a few times for work events but am very much a beginner with issues on swing mechanics and making real contact with the ball. I topped almost everything I swing at or send a pound of dirt flying with each swing. I came to John looking for general improvement and within two lessons I can hit my 9i 150 yards consistently and have hit some drives over 270 yards. His simple, practical reminders and methods of explaining not only the motion but how it will feel make understanding what I am targeting much easier. He is friendly, patient, and has helped me learn more about golf in the last few weeks than I ever knew before from Youtube videos. I would recommend John to any beginners looking to dial in their swing and start their golf journey.

After just one lesson with John I went from barely being able to get the ball off the ground to hitting my 7 iron 180 yards. After three lessons I can now average around 200 yards with my 7. Coach John is super knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and knows exactly how to explain things in a way that clicks. My teenage son taught himself golf and ended up with a few bad habits. I had been to 4 other Golf Instructors for Lessons recently. Including 2 of the Big Name companies and they could not help me. One of them gave me "great" advice like keep my head down.
