FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Shamanic Training: I am a fourth-year apprentice in the Paqo Kuna Katari tradition of Peruvian shamanism under my teacher Zane Curfman. I have attended training workshops with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies. My primary source of training, however is Spirit itself, who has been leading and teaching me in the ways of journey work and multidimensional healing techniques for about a decade. Crystal Healing: I am a Certified Crystal Healer by the Hibiscus Moon Crystal Academy. I have worked intensively with crystals for over a decade and have great awareness of their energies. Astrology: I am a first-year student at the Academy of Astropsychology, and have been studying astrology independently and interpreting the charts of my friends and family for several years. The pricing of my natal chart readings is heavily discounted to reflect my still-growing knowledge in this field. Reiki: I am a Practical Reiki Master Teacher (Level 3) and a Usui / Holy Fire Reiki Practitioner (Level 2). Tarot: I am self-taught in Tarot but have been doing readings for nearly a decade. The cards speak to me. Access Bars(R): I am a certified Access Bars Facilitator. I have also studied several other Access Consciousness tools and healing modalities and have no qualms about mixing their life-changing magic into my work.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 2010, I was a broken shell of a human being after finally leaving a longstanding abusive relationship and a cycle of hard drug use. Then I happened upon my first crystal (a Selenite log!) and that changed my life. Within the next year I became a Practical Reiki Master, as well as the proud owner of a sizable community of wonderful crystal friends (which continues to expand even today). I began attending various holistic/metaphysical expos and met practitioners in many fields; here I got my first Tarot reading, which confirmed that I was, in fact, a psychic medium and not just crazy. I began attending medicine wheel workshops with a powerful shaman named Herb Stevenson (One White Horse Standing) and learned much about shamanic journeying, connecting and communicating with Spirit guides, and processes for deep transformative inner work through these workshops. Within three years I co-owned and managed a metaphysical store / apothecary called HERBCO, during which time I continued to expand my knowledge and practice of various alternative healing modalities. While the store no longer exists, I am deeply grateful to have had a chance to work intensively with the public as a spiritual, holistic and healing advisor in that capacity. For close to two years I organized and facilitated a shamanic journeying circle, and was blessed to coach many beautiful souls through their own transformative inner journey work in this capacity. In 2018 I began a formal shamanic apprenticeship under Zane Curfman, which continues to this day. Through this apprenticeship I have learned a wide variety of healing techniques to complement my previous training, and have become connected with many other shamans, healers and psychics, with whom I have frequently exchanged knowledge and services. My personal healing journey has taken me through some very interesting territory, and I have been utterly transformed from a shell-shocked, deeply wounded survivor into a buoyant, thriving, energetic lover of life and jack of many trades. I am deeply grateful to all of my friends, teachers, clients, spirit guides and helpers along the way, and very excited to be able to share these tools which have been so deeply transformative for me with a wider audience. I look forward to working with you!
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Often those who seek out alternative healing are looking for a quick, non-invasive fix to some bothersome, longstanding symptom - pain, depression, malaise, etc. While healing can certainly provide immediate and lasting relief to these types of problems, it is also a golden opportunity to dive deeper into the soul-level causes of these issues, which can cause them to recur (or bubble up in a different guise) if not acknowledged and addressed. Limiting beliefs, traumas, toxic situations, imbalanced karmic relationships, etc. can cause wounding to the energy body and create cycles of dysfunction that recur throughout a lifetime, and can even be passed down the genetic line. I would encourage anyone who is suffering from less-than-optimal wellness to become willing to change their beliefs, release old patterns, and allow an entirely new way of being. Then the energy healing process is less about feeding the client for a day, than it is about helping them to fish from the river of joy, health and abundance for a lifetime.
