I hired Hiro in the spring to finish my two-level detached garage after consulting with a handful of contractors in the area and soliciting several bids. Hiro seemed to understand my vision for the project in a way that was unique among those I spoke with, and his initial estimate was reasonable compared to others.
Once we started the project, it expanded to encompass other elements (lighting, flooring, painting, etc) that were not explicitly considered on the front end but which I decided to pursue on the fly. Hiro was extremely detail-oriented throughout the process, asking about certain touches to ensure that the end result came out precisely as I intended. He was also creative in collaborating on various features; if I had an enhancement in mind, he was actively involved not only in finding a workable solution but one that would be economical for me. And he always sought explicit approval before making a new purchase of materials or revision to the project which would result in a cost increase. In spite of juggling several other jobs alongside mine, Hiro's communication and level of contact throughout the project were excellent. His crews for the various tasks did great work and were consistently friendly and considerate.
We started the garage in late April and were complete by the end of August, a process that was delayed at different times due largely to supply issues rather than anything under Hiro’s control. In the end, I’m extremely pleased with the finished product, and I can’t recommend Columbus Reclaimed enough for your major house projects. In fact, we’re already discussing several follow-up projects of varying sizes.

Hiro and his team are amazing. Hiro is the most patient, friendly, and helpful contractor I have met. His communication skills are off the charts by always wanting to be sure he understands his customers’ needs and that he gets to the root of the problem. We had Hiro quote us a number of projects. He has been very respectful of being cautious with the pandemic, always wearing a face mask or video chatting to be safe.
His team did terrific work replacing our front porch and also digging and resealing our drainage pipe from our downspout to the street. His team always wanted to do things right and they were willing to come back and touch up some spots of caulk and paint. With the porch we found that the foundation wall had a lot of cracks and voids so Hiro suggested for more money that we could caulk and create a moisture barrier to avoid basement issues. As you can see from the pictures, the before shows our attempt at trying to strip the porch and the after pictures show a much better structurally encores porch with beautiful craftsmanship.
If you’re looking for someone with a lot of expertise and a willingness to be sure the costumer is pleased with the job then Hiro is your man!

Hiro and his team were incredibly easy to work with and did a great job on our small deck project. We found some unexpected issues and they were able to work within our budget to help solve them. The crew was polite, cleaned up everything perfectly when finished and we are so happy with our new deck! Very responsive to get a hold of as well. Will definitely use again if a project arises!

I hired Miro to add another bedroom to my basement. Miro and his crew were great to work with. Miro was very professional and responsive to any questions I had and also bringing his own suggestions. Everything went smoothly and was completed in a timely manner. I have already asked Miro to complete two other projects. The bedroom turned out even better than I imagined!

Hiro and his team were incredible! His response time and genuine investment in the project were totally different than any contractor experience we've had in the past. He listened to our ideas and budget and creatively found ways to accomplish our goals. He and his team are efficient, careful, kind and great at what they do. He came out several times to answer questions, he offered to pick and return the front doors we bought and was accessible when we needed him.
The paint job came out more "blue" than we thought it would, and Hiro was understanding and even offered to re-paint. We decided to keep the color and will be adding shutters and window framing - all with help from Hiro!
From our first meeting with him (who was happy to do virtual meetings and was very diligent about COVID precautions), we knew we had found our contractor for life. I cannot recommend them enough!
