Handyman
The handyman team from Midwest were lifesavers. They assembled 6 pieces of Ikea furniture in 6 hours. I have used them for other projects and they are always on time, friendly, professional, and work efficiently. We couldn’t have pulled off this last project without them!

General Carpentry
Tim did a wonderful job communicating with us and following up on every aspect of the job! The estimate was clear, fair, and accurate. We would work with this company again.

Architectural Services
I scheduled an appointment with this company and they confirmed their availability; however, they were a no show. I messaged them 15 minutes after our scheduled time to see if they were still coming and they never responded. To this date (2 days later), I have yet to receive a response. I would not recommend this company as they are unreliable and unprofessional.

Handyman
EXTREMELY disappointed and Frustrated. The lack of communication is ridiculous. I just wasted almost 2 weeks waiting to hear back from Mike. He send his team member to do an estimate and then we just never heard back . Constantly calling and leaving voicemails, sending emails, and nothing. Not even a simple reply telling me he can no longer do the work or he's too busy. Instead just runarounds.
Feb 11, 2019VerifiedMidwest Contractor's replyHi Kathrine. Its unfortunate that youve resorted to this. We all know there is always a rest of the story. Midwest works very hard to build our reputation and market place image. Its unfortunate there are customers in the market place that see that and use it as a tool.for misguided unprofessionalism. We responded to your request timely and professionally, as we do with all customers that contact us. It was Guardian Booth's lack of organization and questionable business practices that had dave turned away by your site superintendent....twice. We have other jobs and other customers and have been unable to line up a 3rd visit. Not exactly our issue, but you've done well making it that. We did everything qe said we would do timely and professionally. You've had multiple contractors engaged in your project. Thats why we were turned away. Based on what youve demonstrated your business practices to be, it's clear why this isnt going well for you. Its unfortunate that Guardian Booth does business this way.

Plumbing Pipe Repair
Midwest reached out to me the night before I needed a kitchen sink water line repaired and called first thing in the morning. They were able to send someone out within a couple of hours and he fixed the problem very quickly after we determined what needed to be done and we went to ACE Hardware close by to pick up the parts. Was very pleased with the quality of the work and price for the service. After fixing the initial issue, we discovered another problem which Bill will be back out in the morning to address. Hopefully it’ll be fixed as quickly and easily as the water line! 🙂 Was glad Bill was there to see the problem and able to come back.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Be an informed consumer. Try to educate yourself. Ask questions. Making decisions based solely on price isn't always the best bet. We've heard many stories. Make sure the contractor will be around upon completion of the project. Whats the warranty?
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?Timing. How soon do you want the project to start. Are we trying to meet or beat a completion date. Budget. Research the project. have an idea what web sites like Home Adviser or Home Wyse say about your project. Material. Who's providing what?
