I am a Systems Engineer (graduated from a University in Mexico) and a Teacher with an endorsement in Spanish (recently graduated from a University in the United States). However, no matter how much I have studied, I still struggle when speaking English and I have a very noticeable accent. That is why I was looking for precise lessons that would help me target my concerns. Last week I had my orientation session with Professor Alex. He started the session asking questions about myself like what was my native language, what were my main concerns when speaking English, what do I want to accomplish in this course, to name a few. Prof. Alex is very professional and nice, he listens to you and your concerns and he identifies your flaws from the moment you start talking. He gives you the rationale behind those mistakes you constantly make. Prof. Alex is very honest, he will tell you in a very professional way when you are not pronouncing correctly certain sounds, he won’t lie to you since he is committed to your learning. He uses this amazing technology that helps you visualize the movements in your mouth, tongue, and lips. Once you visualize the movements of your mouth, tongue, and lips that image stays in your brain and the next time you make that sound you will remember that image and you will be able to carry out that sound. By the end of my orientation session, I was one hundred percent sure that I wanted to start my English lessons with Prof. Alex. I highly recommend him if you want to improve your English."See more

Viacheslav G. says, "Wanted to give 10 stars, but this site only allows 5 :) I was searching for a teacher for my wife, and upon having an initial lesson with Chiara it was obvious that she is the perfect choice. Chiara approaches her lessons very professionally, as an example - she uses a special document camera to show the exercises in the books (which I haven't seen anybody else using). She also had a conversation with us before we began our courses on whether she would be the best choice for us - since we are living in Ireland, and they have a different culture and pronunciation compared to the US. That shows that Chiara really cares about her students. As for the lessons - Chiara prepares for each lesson individually which includes some homework for the student. That homework is also tailored to each student's needs, and in our case Chiara tried to find interesting topics for my wife to explore. One recent example could be the food recipes - my wife was supposed to cook a dish and write down a recipe for it as the people usually do online. My wife really liked this, it was very interesting for her and motivated her to learn a new vocabulary. Some of the homework involves audio recordings - Chiara records a question or a dialogue on her own - then my wife listens to it and answers some questions by recording audio also. And Chiara gives feedback about it - recording her answer as well. This happens outside of the time booked for a lesson. Overall Chiara really cares about her students and pays a lot of attention and puts a lot of effort into helping them to learn English language - and the US culture as well. She is super-friendly and goes far and beyond of what we could expect from an English tutor. You would definitely not regret studying with her, provided you will be lucky enough to get an available spot in her schedule :)"See more
