- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most locksmiths do not have a flat rate for each type of service. For example, different types of car keys have different prices. A high-security key will cost more than a key that does not have a chip in it. Prices may vary depending on difficulty, the price for parts, or the condition of the locks being serviced. It is important to give the technician as much information as possible for the most accurate quote. A professional locksmith will offer quotes/consultations for free and give a firm price before starting any work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend yearly locksmith conferences and take classes in order to stay on top of the latest technology and techniques.. The most recent conference I attended was in May 2017 at Just Cars.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We provide a wide range of residential, commercial, and automotive services. Our specialty is key origination. We have the tools and knowledge to cut keys for every make and model. In addition to making/copying keys, we change/repair ignitions, service/install residential and commercial locks, rekey locks, create master key and access control systems, and respond to emergency lockouts. Requests for servicing or opening safes are rare, but we are able to do those types of jobs as well.
