- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nothing complicated, simply prices that are reasonable for the job intended, and negotiable with the client. Professional headshots for business photos/social media are generally $150, if it for a business that schedules multiple employees on the same day, additional people run $100- $125 per person. Senior Picture shoots run between $200-500, depending on how and what you decide that you want; families generally run between $300-600, again depending on what you want included. Prices are reasonable and negotiable!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I regularly attend classes to learn the latest photography and editing techniques. i also belong to a group of photographers in Central Ohio which consists of pros to complete amateurs. We have regular outings, share equipment, tips, histories, while going on some interesting photo "field trips".
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been fascinated and active in photography since I as a little kid. Over the years, I moved up in both the quality of my hardware and my knowledge and ability of photographing almost anyone or anything. Before turning my passion in the business, my photography was constant in the lives of anyone around me, and was always asked for copies of this photo or that. When I retired from CPD, I also realized that I had been giving something away for free for far too long!
