Since graduating college, I've been extremely focused on my career and advancing myself in the workplace. While I'm proud of my professional experiences, I found myself starting work early, staying late, and leaving no time in between for workouts and health. I decided 3 months ago, I would change that and have been working out with Joe since. I could not be happier with my results and it has definetely been a decision for the best. Joe programs workouts for me 3x a week, has me boxing 2x a week, and schedules cardio 1x a week. He's even begun programming a meal prep plan that I will start next month. He truly goes above and beyond to make sure his clients reach their physical and mental goals. Even when he's out of town, he arranges for other trainers to step in and monitor workouts. All of whom, are just as motivating and educating. Thanks Joe and the whole team at StrongFit! I can't wait to see where the next 3 months or 3 years take me!
Doug is a trainer I seemed out due to having similar back stories ofbeing bigger guys. He lost a massive amount of weight and kept it off. Doug is someone who can relate to the big guy/girl in the gym as he was one... He is also someone who has kept it off for many years which shows me he knows what he is doing. This is why I choose him. Now, working out with Doug has been a good experience with all his measurements and tracking programs which help / force you to be held accountable. He is not afraid to push me and get that extra rep or that extra 5lbs to help me sweat just one more drop to get me to my goals. Very supportive outside the gym as well.

Linda and Baer fit took personal training to a whole new level. While in the process of achieving my goals I became ill and Linda and the staff were extremely compassionate and made sure to stay in contact with me the whole time! They leave no detail out in your personal fitness journey.
Met with Brian for our initial introduction, very professional instructor / trainer... Had a great session and arranged for further training. The location is easy access and has everything needed for intense workouts. Brian is the type that will motivate you and push you for maximum results. My personal training sessions with Matt at Play-Train-Live over the past 2 1/2 years have been one of the best things I've ever done for myself. And the kettle bell classes are a great additional workout. Matt and CathyJo are professional, knowledgeable, and take a genuine interest in the well-being of their clients. I can honestly say that the increased strength and fitness I've experienced since going there has changed my life. Never think you're too old to start making those positive changes for yourself!
Katie took the time to help me set very specific fitness goals and designed a great workout/heath plan to achieve. I did exercises that I never knew existed! But they must be good I have lost 10 lbs in 5 weeks. Katie is an amateur boxer and does a great job of working boxing drills in the routine (heavy bag, shadow boxing, etc..). I recommend Katie as a personal trainer!
My experience has not always been the best when it came to personal trainers and gyms. I have always felt intimidated and awkward in those settings until I met Travis Childs. Travis is very uplifting and down to earth, he makes sure you are comfortable but ensures results with his intense workouts. He is not intimidating, he has a wonderful personality and really listens to your goals and needs. Travis really focuses on the science behind your workout and personalizes each workout to get you the best results possible. I highly recommend Travis as a personal trainer and I am very excited to see the finished results in October!
I trained with Josh at a my work gym and had such a great experience, he really challenged me with heavier weights than I was doing on my own. He created a plan I was able to stick too and made me feel more confident in my lifting abilities at the gym. I've always worked out and had the same results, but Josh developed a plan for me that made me see new & better results! More toned and less fat! I also loved boxing with him! Such a great cardiovascular workout and a good way to release some frustration.
I hired Joe as a personal trainer sometime ago and I can say it was the best decision I have made in my lifting career. He quickly was able to help me correct my improper form and help me get a structured workout together. The guy is a genius in the gym. He really knows what he's talking about!! I've been attending classes at Mike's crossfit gym for a few weeks and I am completely satisfied with what I'm paying for. The workouts are structured in what I consider a classic sense. You start the session with a power lift, usually a multi-joint compound movement, like the deadlift, front squat, or power clean. From there, you move onto the Metcon or WOD, which is usually HIIT inspired. Then youll finish with a skill move, like jump rope or some core work. The workouts are very intense, but the trainers usually modify the workouts to individual abilities. This impressed me for two reasons; one, the trainers do this on the fly, and two, they now seem to know what my capabilities are better than I do. Thats probably the number one reason I decided to join here, trainers know how far to push and when to back off. Its hard to find people who inspire that kind of trust with your health and well-being. Lifts are taught well and in the proper order of... position > form > weight. The trainers are attentive and make corrections when warranted. A good example to give from my own experience would be the deadlift. I was too rigid when lowering the weight and not loading the right muscles as I descended. A slight adjustment of my shoulder position made a night and day difference in my execution. That's the kind of advice you want, those minute details, as you progress to those more complex Olympic lifts. Everyones afraid of injury when you do these kinds of moves, but knowing that someone is paying that close attention to me helps ease that anxiety. The boxing class is fun. It's not your traditional circuit, but I find it effective. Its serves as an excellent cardio session and you have some skill exercises (mitts and heavy bag). However, I feel adding some more skill exercises, like the speed bag and some footwork drills, would really set this class apart from what you might find at McGym down the road. Speaking of McGym, I love the culture of this place. Everybody is there to work. You can scream and grunt, cuss, chalk is in the air, etc. This place is exactly what a gym is supposed to be, in my opinion. If that atmosphere is not for you, then this gym isnt for you. LA fitness or Planet Fitness might serve you better. I love it because I cant function at the gym without knowing someone is working as hard as I am. Otherwise, its awkward and I feel ridiculous. The WODs are creative and programmed fairly well. Im still adjusting to the schedule, but my progress has been swift. In just over a month, my clothes fit better, Im more muscular, and my power is shooting through the roof. Before I started there, I hadnt touched a barbell in almost 3 years and just the other day I put up 270 lbs. on the bench press. I thought that was pretty good progress. In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. The price is reasonable and the fitness youll get out of it is priceless.
Lack of progress, chronic lower back pain, expensive and inattentive trainers at the Big Box Gym lead me to start my training with Chandler. Within a short amount of time I began to feel stronger, more energy and back pain lessening now to the point of virtually being gone. All this due not only to his vast knowledge of how the body functions, moves and nutritional needs but also because he listens to your needs to give the best results for each individual. Highly recommend if you want lasting quality results.
