On your twentieth or fiftieth wedding anniversary, you may forget what the cake tasted like, the flowers you carried, or which songs you danced to. But the photographs of your loved ones and the moments you shared will stay with you, so let’s make it count.
As a documentary photographer, I seek to tell the truth about moments lived once and only once. I want you to hold an image in your hands and for it to feel like it felt. I want each photograph to remind you of the way the light fell, the smell in the room, the thump of your heart beating in your chest. I want my presence to be as delightfully non-invasive as possible. Even though I am a photographer, I don’t think weddings have anything to do with wedding photographs. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in the power of an image more than just about anything, but you will still marry your soul mate no matter what the photos look like.

Svetlana provided photography services for our wedding. She was very warm and welcoming, and seemed to be very good both at going with the flow of our ceremony, and being a help whenever we needed. Svetlana is AMAZING! She has done two engagement shoots and our weddingphotos for us. She is down to earth and the sweetest human ever! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because no wedding is ever the same, most of my collections are custom tailored to fit your needs! They range from a 4 hour Elopement collection all the way up to 12+ hour unlimited coverage. I also offer multi-day packages for those having a multi-day or a destination event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After initial inquiry, the first thing I want is to make sure I'm the right photographer for you - so we set up a meeting where I can get to know who you are, your story, and what you want out of a wedding photography experience. If we're all on the same page, we reserve your date and you're all set!
A couple months before your event we will also set up a planning meeting to over all the details: This includes any special details during your day, travel logistics, morning preparations, ceremony, formal portraits, and reception. This meeting not only allows me to provide you a timeline of the day, it also helps me put together my own itinerary and ensure I'm always in the right place at the right time!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I previously trained as a Graphic Designer in which I earned my BFA degree from Columbus College of Art and Design. I've been working as a full time Marketing Designer for various agencies and retail brands for the last decade, and photography has always been something that to me, came hand-in-hand with design.
