FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I look at each job and determine various factures of the project. I look at travel, length of the job, future work from the client and, referrals that may come from the project. I tend to be on the high side for my services compared to other contractors but, I go the extra mile to give my clients what they expect/deserve.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I can submit an hourly rate or quote any job after reviewing the scope of work with the property owner. Some simple handy man projects don't need to be reviewed but, more involved work needs to be seen and estimated.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Basically, "school of hard knocks", like most other contractor's. I built new homes for over15 years and bought into the builder's company and became the vice president in charge of construction and estimating. I have attended many training seminars thru the National Home Builders Association as we were a s Registered Builder and , had to obtain continuing education to keep our certification. I was also obtained credentials with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry as a Certified Remodeler and Certified Lead Carpenter. I obtained training from the National Center for Construction Education and Research from Greene County Adult Education at the Career Academy and placed high in the class and am certified as a second year electrical apprentice and have worked at a commercial facility as a maintenance electrician.
