About this pro

How does your business stand out?

As a locally owned and operated pet care service, we cater exclusively to the Grove City and Central Columbus Community. We recognize that each client and pet has his or her own specific requirements and believe that to provide Top Tier service, it is important to pay attention to detail. Focusing on a smaller area within the City allows us to be more flexible with unique schedules, pet and owner needs, last minute requests, and any other needs you and your pets may have.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

I have been caring for animals since I was a young child. I was raised on a small farm with horses, dogs, chickens, rabbits, cats, etc. and have always enjoyed spending time with them. They say to find a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life. I have found that to be true with dog walking and pet sitting, its one of the best parts of my day! I look forward to seeing my customers companions and spending time with them, taking care of them, and building a bond. I am so lucky to not only have the opportunity to do what I love.

This service is OUTSTANDING. Not only did they perform what was advertised, but went above and beyond it. I highly recommend them and will be sure to use them every time I need Pet Setting. We were gone for 10 days and the kitties were well taken care of. Greatly appreciated his updates to us on what was happening each time. Although we were unable to communicate with him as we would have liked to as we were out of the county, he continued communicating with us on our babies.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We provide a free "Meet and Greet" for our customers. This allows the customer and their pet to check us out and make sure we are a good fit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised on a farm and have been caring for animals all of my life.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I moved from my small town in Northwest Ohio for College. I missed animals so much, but wasn't able to have one of my own at the time. I began taking care of my family and friend's pets as a hobby and things took off from there!
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, turtles, lizards, rabbit, chickens, goats, and horses.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that you have a provider that is Bonded and Insured and a part of a Pet Sitting Association and that has had a background check. Anyone can claim to be a Pet Sitter or Dog Walker, but it is best to have one with qualifications for your safety and your animals.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It is important to know what goal you have for your companions. For walking services, different clients use services for exercise, anxiety, stress, or just the common bathroom break. This will help you decide how many times a week you would like to have visits and the length of the visit. For the customer who is looking for a quick potty break in the middle of the day, a walk around the block and potty break is a great option for people looking for visits 5 days a week. For those who are looking for exercise, a 30 minute walk may be the best option.
