Charles was very quick and thorough to respond to my inquiries, and completed my project in a very timely manner. He was a pleasure to work with and is my go to guy for metal fab in the future. Ive used other fabricators in the past and Charles is heads and tails above those in numerous aspects. Charles was easy to talk with and very personable. The work he completed for me, while challenging, was done in an expert manner and I couldnt be happier with the results. I'd recommend Charles in a heart beat. As well, compared with big fab shops, Charles prices were extremely fair, and his service was much better. Top notch!

Charles responded promptly, and I had the parts welded back on my futon's rail in a couple of weeks (this was not an emergency repair so may have had it sooner if I had asked for it), probably in a fashion that is stronger than the original design at a reasonable price.

Had Charles look at our Class A Motor home at a broken weld on the automatic steps and he was able to get to us quickly and not only repaired the weld, but added support to make this area stronger. Extremely nice to work with and felt very secure and save leaving my coach with him.

I have a Sears Kenmore Elite double range that's around 10 years old. At the time we bought it, it was top of the line. Turns out, it's a lemon range. Once you use the "self-clean" once, the oven walls expand and your racks fall down when it heats up. Very dangerous.
Sears, since they are going bankrupt, denies there's a problem, though 1000s of people are having the exact same issue.
Told Charles about the issue. The oven, when it heats, expands around a 1/2 inch wider and a 1/4 when cool. Charles added around a 1/4 inch stainless steel rod to the one side of each rack.
Slides in smoothly, fits nice and snug, and now there's no danger of the racks falling when it heats up. If you have this issue, call him!! Sears will say you need the oven walls rebuilt for around $350. BS. It's their lemon range that is the issue. Charles can remedy it for a small fraction of what Sears would try to charge you.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge by the hour $50 depending on difficulty.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A customer would call me and we would discuss what he's trying to do on the phone. After that, he would bring the project to me or drawings. If he isn't quite sure what she/he wants we can make up a drawing together and work out the details.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Years of hands on fabrication and also 4 years of an Ironworkers apprenticeship.
