Pat installed some new casing around my patio door and some baseboard. His communication was great. He stayed true to his quote. I only paid additional for the materials, which Pat purchased. Everything turned out nice and I would definitely hire him again for other jobs,
Shower door came off the track. Not an easy fix but Wade got it done. I always appreciate a company that calls when they are on the way. Highly satisfied!
Ed installed a new prehung exterior door. He was on time. Communicated well, very nice, and did a Great job. I would hire him again
Bottom line, Mr. Napier is an old-school repair man. No frills, no overhead, no travel fee. Just a flat rate per hour for what you need fixed, he will repair it. For my repairs I needed items fixed like a leaky shower faucet and leaky toilet shutoff valve, hardwiring a dishwasher into a non-plug-in connection, and laying adhesive tiles in a bathroom. After Mr. Napier arrived and assessed the specific materials needed, he made a list for me of the necessary parts and materials, so he proceeded to work on some of the fixes while I went to Lowe's. As he worked, he even explained how certain parts become non-functioning over time and what to watch out for to save yourself some money in replacing them. If you are not a handy kind of person at all and don’t know much about various home improvement materials and parts, it would be best that Mr. Napier first go with you to the home improvement store together and purchase the necessary materials so all of your repairs can be worked on straight through. I would hire Mr. Napier again.
My first time using Thumbtack and Tony with Abstract Homes LLC responded. Tony was able to come out on short notice. I needed a couple quick drywall repairs. Tony did a great job, was very professional, personable and reasonably priced. I will definitely call Tony again for repairs.
Performed many electrical and plumbing repairs. Took a total of 3 visits (3 days) but was well worth it. SmitRoc will be our go to handyman from here on out.
Howard was timely and friendly. Job was a bed frame repair that while not conceptually difficult needed someone with the right tools ,skill and willingness to take on a small job. Howard met those demands . Quite pleased!
I can't say enough good things about how hard this guy worked and took on a almost impossible challenge with ease . I called almost every contractor and carpenter in the area to see if anyone was even willing to attempt to build a operational full-sized catapult, in two days. Understandably on a holiday weekend, with short notice, and limited details..... as well as no operational knowledge of how to do this..... There were no takers. I tried a few placement services and thumbtack was the only one that had a response, Jarrod was not only willing to give it a try he sounded excited to take on the challenge and confident that he could give us something pretty close to what we were looking for. Not only did he do that he went above and beyond with attention to every detail so the finished product look fantastic. Even at the zero hour working under a tight television production schedule, .....as this was our key prop needed for an important shot and losing daylight , He showed remarkable poise under pressure. Working with our very particular client he was capable of adapting and taking outside suggestions to achieve our final goal of a seriously bad ass working catapult. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jurugdMcfyo Watch it here. If you need a catapult too.....then call this guy. Any more reasonable request I am certain he will provide the best craftsmanship available at a fair rate.
Don did a great job repairing an exterior door frame and exterior wood trim. I was able to schedule it within a few days and he was on time and professional. I would definitely hire him again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
I hired Shawn to fix the bedroom ceiling and walls over this weekend. Shawn did a very careful job for me and it turned out better than I expected. Shawn is a very responsible and reliable person to work with. He explained things to me and finished the job very thoroughly. The price he offered is also the lowest amount other quotes I received. I am very glad I picked Shawn for this job. And will definitely hire him again if there is a need.
TM Construction did a roof replacement on my home from slate to traditional shingle. Their quote was the best but was surpassed by their quality, craftsmanship and efficiency. The job was done right, done under budget, and done quickly! None better!
It is difficult to find a skilled and conscientious person who can take care home repair and remodeling projects that require skill and experience that the average home owner cannot undertake. Gary performed a repair and staining of our deck. His work was of high quality and craftsmanship. Gary followed-up with us to make sure that we were satisfied with his work, which we are. His price was reasonable and appropriate to the task. Gary Murdock is someone we will call upon for future projects we have planned.
Windows cleaned external and interior, including frames, well done. Painted a ceiling, proactively used treatments to stains first, still working on two small repair patches, happy to do any small or large task, was able to come within the week required.
My wife and I highly recommend Decorator's Choice to anyone looking for honest and pride full craftsmanship! David answered all of our questions prior to the job and did quality work on installing a kitchen back splash. We have even contacted him on the prospects of additional projects in the house. A very positive experience!
I have worked with Katie Hixon Interiors since 1993 when we needed living room furniture, lights, paint and window treatments. The furniture purchased then is still in use in 2013 in our son's home. We moved and totally remodeled our next house. Gwen was instrumental in helping us pick out paint, wall paper, fixtures, tile, furniture, rugs, carpeting, and mostly all aspects of the interior of our new home. She was responsive to questions, accurate on delivery times, has great style ideas and has kept within our budget. It has been 10 years since we remodeled our kitchen with Gwen's help and I still receive compliments on the details. Last summer I wanted new bathroom wallpaper, window treatments and carpeting in my bedroom. The subcontractors who did the work were all professional, accommodating to our schedule and trustworthy. I definitely recommend Kaie Hixon Interiors
Mike was very professional and I had him wire 2 dedicated outlets for a disposal and dish washer. It took Mike 1 hour longer than his estimated time but for working by himself and having to run wire in the crawl space above he did a great job. I have other wiring needs and will be using Mike again for sure.
When Centex built our home in 2003, they went cheap and instead of using a pipe that fit, they soldered extensively behind the wall to our shower to make the pipes fit. When we went to replace the leaking shower head, we found this issue. The soldering had broke and needed to be repaired. We hired, after hiring several other contractors, Blessed, to come fix the issue. I corresponded with April, the owner, and arranged for the service. Bill called about 30 minutes out and arrived on time. I showed the Bill the problem, and he immediately knew what was the issue and how to fix it. I am currently on crutches so I was hesitant as I could not get in and out of the basement to turn off the water. Not needed. Bill was able to remove the old soldering, install a coupling, etc - and do all that plumbing stuff that I have no clue how to do. Long story short, he was done in about an hour and the cost was $25 less than he had quoted. He advised what small items we needed to do ourselves (he could have, but I asked if we could finish this part) to get the shower working - install face plate, and handle, etc. Note, others had given me estimates of a low of $500 up to over $1K. We found Blessed Plumbing also on the Blue Pages (Christian yellow pages) and were very confident with his work. He even gave some other suggestions on issues we were having (water hammer) and offered some maintenance advice on our aging sump pump. I enjoyed my encounter with this company and would not hesitate to call on them again for any plumbing problem we encounter. It is hard and rare to find honest people/contractors.
