If looking at reviews, Baths and Windows of Columbus is doing business as Level Up Baths. See those reviews on other sites as well.
Level Up Baths Sales, Doug, came out on 10/11/24. We asked our list of 16 questions that were used to screen all potential contractors. Doug assured us they get requests to tear out garden tubs and install showers all the time. He provided a quote $4,000 less than our lowest bid. We signed and paid a down payment.
On 10/25/24, the owner of Level Up Baths, Austin, said they misquoted and the project cost would increase 34.4%. He also said he would understand if the cost made the project prohibitive and would void the contract. We were impressed with the Tyvarian product and Level Up Baths was the only contractor installing it. Although it was now $1,500 above our highest bid, we decided to stay with Level Up Baths (LUB).
On 11/14/24, LUB said Tyvarian does not make a floor pan large enough for our project and we would have to use tile. We thought it a little odd they did not know the capabilities of their suppliers if they “do these projects all the time.” They decreased the price to match the average price of the other contractors using tile. They were still using Tyvarian for the wall surround.
There were many delays providing us with samples for approval. We finally received a call on 02/19/25 that our project was scheduled for a 3 week period beginning 02/25/25 and ending by 03/17/2025. Because LUB usually installs pre-made Tyvarian floor pans, we had some concerns about the tile floor. Level Up Baths Production Manager, Dan, assured us that their contractor had ample experience in concrete and laying tile.
Level Up Baths installer, Matthew, began work 02/25/25. It should be said up front, that Matthew has a good heart and we enjoyed working with him, but he is not the most reliable person. In the 3 week period, he was at our house less than 30 hours. Four out of the fifteen days, he didn’t show up at all. Not showing up when expected happened 13 more times over the course of the project. Matthew is skilled in many areas, but he was a crew of one. His expertise was not at the level it needed to be for such difficult tile work. The project had numerous challenges and delays. Matthew’s work concluded 05/05/2025. Because the project was drawn out so long, it seems Matthew lost interest and the quality of his work was mediocre at best towards the end. The project was marked as complete on 06/13/25 with an unfinished punch list. Austin compensated us for the unfinished list.
We understand now that this was a custom project. Level Up Baths over-promised what they could deliver. It is doubtful the project was within the profit margin for Level Up Baths because of mismanagement and poor execution.
Even though there were set-backs and challenges, Level Up Baths was committed to making things right. They acted with integrity and the business relationship ended on good terms. Everyone involved learned a lot from this project.

I had D'Shae out for a free estimate to get prices on remodeling my tub. We have been thinking about doing this project for so long. As soon as D'Shae arrived, we knew this was the company we wanted to use. He was on time, respectful and very informative on the products and install. He answered all of our questions (and we had a lot haha). They came out for the install much quicker than we expected and got the job done in one day! The Installation crew was amazing and very personable. We absolutely love everything about or new tub and would recommend anybody and everybody to this company. Thank you Level Up Baths for making this process so easy!

Out of all of the quotes that I received to replace my bathroom shower/tub, Level Up Baths was by far the best quality and best price around. From the presentation, to the bathroom specialist knowledge of his products, to the variety of options, it was an absolute no brainer. I highly recommend Level Up Baths to anyone who is looking to replace their shower or tub!

Doug came out to my house and did an estimate for a two full bath job. This was a very daunting task for me and my wife to complete so we made the call and within 24 hours had a rep at are house. Doug was very straight forward on the material and labor cost which made us fell very comfortable and ready to pull the trigger on the job. No question went unanswered and no force-full selling tactics. After the job was complete we were very happy with the results. Level Up Baths will be the go to for any future jobs.
