Ohio Environmental Inspection and Testing

The customer sadly is lying to get out of paying. We had a verbal and a text agreement for a set price on the job based on man hours. 75% of those man hours were complete. At that point, the customer told me she miscommunicated with her husband who is on the job site every day. Her husband thought she said we were doing the job for 1/4 of the price. Anyone who knows the remediation business knows if I did it for 1/4 of the price I would lose. They also did not pay the dumpster guy they hire and never got city permits. So there was a pattern of dysfunction I didn’t know till after. At that point, the customer told us to leave the job they can’t afford to pay me. Her husband put our tools and equipment out on the front lawn and we are not allowed back in the property. They have not paid me one dime for the work we have completed. In 38 years I’ve never had anybody do this to me.
