FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base my fees upon the complexity of a clients individual tax situation. I keep my fees reasonable because I work from home so that I don't have to rent office space throughout the year.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I invest my time and efforts to learn about my clients individual needs. I don't rush through my appointments like most of the national tax preparation firms do. I go through an extensive checklist with my clients to make sure their returns are prepared as accurately as possible based on the information that is provided to me by my clients. I go over their returns in detail with them in person before I efile their returns so that my clients know exactly how their returns have been preparedand their tax was computed. My clients are from thumbtack.com or for personal referrals from my existing clients.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a CPA in Ohio since 1997 and I have to take continuing education of at least 120 credit hours every three years in order to keep my unlimited CPA license active. I passed the entire nationally administered uniform CPA exam or my first attempt which is something that less than 10% of all CPA candidates accomplish on a national level.
