Alanna was so wonderful. I’m a girl that has no skin care regimen and I don’t even wear makeup but once a month. But I wanted to look beautiful on my wedding day. She made me feel at such ease. She knew what to use on my face and was very thorough with writing everything down. The practice day we scheduled for was the day of my bridal shower. Which was awesome and I looked great! She listened to what I wanted and was so sweet with my family and friends. And on wedding day she was so patient with me and made me feel like a princess. She even calmed my nerves a bit. Both events I felt beautiful. I highly recommend Alanna.May 8, 2018
Every time Alanna does my makeup I feel beautiful and special. She’s always so knowledgeable and takes her work very seriously, but she also keeps things lighthearted and makes everything fun.May 8, 2018
I have seen Alanna work and have had my makeup done by her as well and she is one of the most professional and talented makeup artists I’ve met. She’s very attentive to the client and makes sure to include everything they would like to see and also helps teach the client as well for future applications by themselves. Her ability to transform anyone through makeup, whether glam or natural or avant-garde, is immeasurable. On top of all of her talents, she is a genuine, kind, and wonderful human being that will put any client at ease before a big event.May 8, 2018

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Bridal: I would usually recommend having a trial day so we can determine a look. We will play with foundation and concealer shades, find the right lipstick, and what type of eye look we want. This also includes and in depth skincare analysis so we can have some time to work with the skin and make sure it’s in the best possible shape for the big day! I would recommend doing the trial 1 month prior to the wedding day. Then when the day comes, it will be easy breezy since we already know all of the details! Prom/Homecoming: I would recommend coming prepared with an idea or a few looks in mind that you are attracted to. That way we can discuss what it is about those looks and we can cater it to your eye shape, face shape, and skin tone!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?•I acquired my Esthetics license for the state of Ohio in 2015. •I have attended master classes on deeper skin tones, contouring, brow shaping, flawless foundation, eye shapes, photography and film makeup, and longwear results. •Brand training and master classes from representatives from Fenty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nars, Yves Saint Laurent, Lancôme, Clinique, Urban Decay, Tarte, Too Faced, Make Up For Ever, Smashbox, Becca, Dior, Cover FX, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Marc Jacobs, Bare Minerals, Kat Von D, and Benefit.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I started as a young girl at the age of 15 struggling with problem skin. As I would research how to fix and cover it, I would see all of these beautiful looks people were creating and try to mimic them on myself. There was a lot of trial and error, but as my passion to learn more kept growing, I started doing makeup on other people so I could expand my horizons. 9 years later, here I am doing makeovers every day for a living and I couldn’t be happier! I was able to turn my passion into a career!
