FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every project is quoted with your individual needs in mind, after a discussion. I use the Editorial Freelance Association guidelines for rates. My aim is to provide affordable rates, and I'm open to finding a budget-friendly solution.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a consultation where you tell me about your project, specific needs, and timeline. After we agree on the timeline and rate, I get to work. It's a dynamic process where both of us communicate as the work progresses. The last step is refining language, sentence structure, and style to ensure the work is engaging and easy to read.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have certificates from Poynter ACES in copy editing, EFA Editing Fiction, Louise Harnby Line Editing, and Proofread Anywhere (Proofreading Theory and Practice), all well-regarded in the editorial world.
