FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The saying “you get what you pay for” rings especially true in photography. There is a lot of time & artistic ability that most do not realize go into snapping a picture as well as editing it. For example a wedding takes about 6-8 hrs but takes 3-4 weeks to edit. I do offer discounts on minis for holidays and throughout the year I may offer discounts on different types of sessions. Also, I love traveling, however I do charge travel fees when sessions are outside of the Tulsa metro area.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I am contacted by a potential client, I will ask a few questions such as type of shoot & the date they need me. If they do not have a location in mind I will send a list of good locations. Once we've decided on time/date/location I will send a booking link. The booking page will have a questionnaire, contract & payment section. Once the questionnaire is answered, it will provide me with all the info I need to provide you with the best experience I can. The contract is a general contract that protects both photographer & client. Lastly, the payment page allows you to put down a deposit to secure your booking. You have 3 options on payments after your deposit is paid. 1. Your session can be paid all at once 2. I can set up a payment plan 3. You can have up to 2 weeks before your session to pay off the balance
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a self-taught photographer with several years of experience under my belt. I graduated with a molecular biology but I stepped away from science to have a job that allows me to be available for my kids. That’s when I discovered my passion for photography! It allows me a creative outlet & also the ability to be there for my family. Although I feel like I’m constantly glued to the computer editing pictures, it’s a luxury to have a schedule that allows me to take a break to watch my oldest sons hockey/baseball games or play make believe with my toddler when my eyes are weary from the computer screen!
