About
With 25 years of experience, I take pride in my work. In this time, I have developed numerous skills including the ability to think outside the box in completing projects, and a high skill level in many and varied construction tasks. Unlike some others in the field, I am true to my word regarding my ability, and I really work for the client by charging a fair price for my labor. Doing it right and seeing the finished results, with pleased clients, who either retain me again or are willing to highly recommend me for the next job. I enjoy using my hands and my mind, as construction requires creative use of tools and an imaginative ability to know the best way to accomplish a client's wishes.

Bryan Trent calls himself a "Handyman"--however, while both handy, as well as a man with tremendous integrity and character, he exceeds this label. Bryan came to us on the heels of four different construction-remodelers, providing an excellent comparison pool. In short, Bryan Trent has now been finishing our 1200 square foot remodel, and we have hired him as our permanent Handyman. More specifically, allow me to describe his particular skills and abilities for others considering his employment. 1) His construction skills are outstanding--we have been most impressed with the mantel, completion of our deck, mirror trimout, and hardware mounting on decorative wooden panels he made; 2) He can and will do most anything asked of him. If he is not heavily skilled in an area, he finds resources that prep him to complete special projects, such as the installation of a screen door on double panel patio doors, raising our treadmill to proper height with a wooden block design, and trimming the kitchen with retro moulding, to name a few; 3) While not a licensed plumber, he has skills in this area as well. As stated, he can fix most anything; 4) He took his time to insure high caliber work, respected our property (and we are extremely particular about this!...e.g., he wears "booties" over his shoes when walking on our new carpet)--and our time. 5) He offers a very fair price. After numerous contractors and construction personnel, we would, and have, hired Bryan Trent as our "Handyman," but he is really a contractor, carpenter, plumber, and whatever meets your needs. While working for you, he will afford you respect, listen to your needs, communicate with you concerning your wants, and give you his very best effort. We could not be more pleased to have found and hired, Mr. Bryan Trent via Thumbtack. If you do the same, he will not dissapoint.

Bryan did an awesome job. Very pleased with the work. I had him help with a doggy kennel/ hideaway under the stairs. Framed out a pass through on the house side and installed bars that coordinated with my stair rails. He also installed a nice door to cover the opening so there wouldn't always be dog hair flying around. He then installed a doggy door on the garage side so the dogs can come and go. My dogs are really enjoying their new area. He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to improve my ideas. Very easy to talk to and work with. Will definitely use him for future work if he is free.

Bryan was very flexible in his schedule to replace the locks on our house. And still accommodating when I had originally miscounted the number of locks that needed replaced. I hope to hire Bryan again for future projects. Thank you!

We hired Trentco to shorten and re-install crown moulding for a small bathroom remodel. The final product looks great and overall we are pleased with the work that was done, including a few minor repair items that Trentco also performed for us since we were at their minimum job amount. Trentco did not use a drop cloth and this resulted in spilled caulking that Trentco failed to clean up before leaving. Our newly tiled floors had to be cleaned including removing dried caulk from the grout lines which proved to be a time-consuming task. Trentco is an able carpenter but may need to protect work surfaces going forward and taking a bit more care in project wrap up and cleanup to get a higher rating. Good value for the price if you don’t have to spend time cleaning up for things that are easy to avoid.

Details: Interior trim or decorative molding installation • Home • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want
