FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process for working with a new customer starts with getting to know my client. I ask certain questions so that I can get a feel for what they need and want. I make sure that I can do exactly what my client asks of me. It's extremely important to get to know my clients because I want them to feel comfortable with me the day of me doing their makeup and hair. Once I've gotten a good understanding of what my client wants then I can start offering ideas to them about what they might want done. Then once I know what they want then I can make sure that I have all the makeup and products that are required to do their makeup and hair exactly the way they are asking.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I grew up competively dancing and my mother didn't know how to do my makeup and hair for the stage so she put me in makeup classes. That is where I learned the techniques that are used to put my makeup on properly. But my talent came from years of practice and actually doing other people's makeup. I know that it's nice to have gone to beauty school but I believe that hands on experience is what makes me the makeup artist I am today.
