FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a couple of ways to price projects depending on the size and the scope of our work. Most projects are 6.0% of the construction cost. This price includes structural engineering, mechanical engineering, plumbing engineering, and electrical engineering. Some projects do not require our engineers to perform design/drawings, so we are able to lower our percentages based. We also provide permitting sets, striped down drawings for acquiring a permit, for a cost per square foot. These rates are from $1 to $3 per square foot and they are based on the complexity of the permit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required by state law to receive yearly Continuing Education credits. These credits are typically advances in the industry and health safety and welfare of the general public.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always enjoyed drawing and I have been building things since I was a kid. My dad is an engineer and my mom is into art. It seemed like a natural fit for me, and I have wanted to be an Architect since I can remember.
