Online tutoring only for high school and undergraduate students.
Regular weekly tutoring sessions are $70/hour. One-time or occasional sessions are $75/hour. I primarily work with students who want consistent help throughout a course, although one-time sessions are available when my schedule permits.
I specialize in Physics, AP Physics, College Physics, Calculus, Precalculus, Trigonometry, and Algebra.
I hold a B.S. and M.S. in Physics as well as an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, and I have approximately 20 years of experience tutoring and teaching physics and mathematics, including experience in college classrooms and laboratories.
My goal is not simply to help a student finish the next homework assignment. I focus on helping students understand the concepts, develop better problem-solving skills, and become more confident working independently.
All tutoring is conducted 100% online. I use screen sharing and a digital writing board during sessions, and students receive a copy of the notes from each session afterward.
I currently tutor Sunday through Wednesday and generally require at least 3 days' notice for new requests.

Hired Simon for my son for his college statistics class. We were a bit hesitant to do online tutoring but after the 1st session my son commented that he was noticeably easier to comprehend compared to the instructor's classroom instruction. Son stated Simon is patient, goes over things slowly, is easy to keep in contact with and he is "cool" and has a great sense of humor! Math is not my son's strong skill set and he is feeling very confident about this class knowing he has time with Simon every week.
