I am currently offering Online lessons only. I am a Professional Vocal Coach with more than 20 years experience teaching. I have trained clients from novice to professional touring artists, actors, as well as Vocal Coaches seeking to advance their coaching techniques. I use my background as a Yoga Certified Instructor to help vocalists better understand anatomy and the healthy body voice connection. I work closely with the top Ear Nose and Throat specialists in the country to help rehabilitate clients who have vocal damage. I’ve take much time to think of the best way I could leave an honest review for Ebony. It’s been hard because she leaves me absolutely speechless. As someone who’s had many music classes and teachers. Ebony is the most honest, genuine, down to earth, passionate and caring teacher/coach I’ve had in so long. She takes the time to get to know her students, learn their passions and interests, making it comfortable to connect and grow a real bond with her. She sees potential in her students and she’s sure to remind them. I started lessons with Ebony three months ago and am impressed by her musical knowledge, teaching method, and communication style. Singing is my favorite activity, but I didn’t understand how to do it properly and safely. Ebony has taught me how to breathe from my diaphragm, align my body for proper muscle engagement, open and shape my mouth to create nuanced sounds, identify my unique musical style, and sing with emotion and confidence. She has a direct, clear, and motivational approach to her lessons. I feel comfortable asking questions and pausing for clarification. We sing songs that I like and ones that she thinks match my tone, ability, and style. We meet virtually on Zoom and use the 'recording' tool to playback, critique, and workshop. I see improvement week after week and can say that Ebony is the perfect vocal teacher for me.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first appointment is a time for me to gather as much information about your skill set, through questions and exercises, so I can create a unique course of action to help you achieve your goals. I also provide additional details on anatomy and health so that you can immediately begin to make changes that lead to a healthier voice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.A. in Vocal Performance and years of experience writing and recording songs, preforming as a background singer live and in studio, as well as band lead singer.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Someone approached me after a performance and asked if I could help them with their voice. I gladly accepted and the rest is history!
