My parents own a really cool old skool stereo with the FM tuner, double deck tape player/recorder, CD player, and record player. I used to sit in front of that stereo with my headphones on for hours. The joy of listening and playing music is still something that I like to make a part of my daily routine. I have been producing music in my home studio since 2005, and I have two albums available on the market. My role as a DJ is an extension of what I do in the studio. It actually combines two parts of me that are different yet complimentary: people skills and musical talent. In my business/professional career, I use my leadership skills to manage dynamic teams. As a DJ I have to manage people and tasks while delivering high quality service. On paper, this is an easy task, but in reality this takes patience, skill, and diligence. The other thing that I enjoy about what I do is that I have an opportunity to create my own schedule and be my own boss. In an ideal world, I would make all of my income from DJ and music entertainment work; however, for now this is only a part time business so I truly do cherish every moment that I get to do it.
