Gearbox Tutoring

I begin by fostering a personal connection between my students and the material. This creates interest in learning, and helps the student to remember and build on what they've learned. All lessons are tailored to the individual student, and designed around their particular learning needs and goals. I work hard to break confusing concepts into manageable pieces, and also provide my students with a deeper understanding of how all those pieces come together to form a whole. I love knowing I've made a difference in the day of my students. Watching a student who struggled grasp and master a complicated concept is one of the joys of teaching, and as a tutor I get to be right there to see it happen. If I can turn a student's attitude toward a subject, that's even better.
