Derek Hanson

Introduction: Derek Hanson is a creative digital marketer who loves working with small business and seeing them grow through online marketing. He specializes in local SEO, web design & development, email marketing, social media, and branding for small businesses. His love for advertising, technology and design led him to Portland State University (PSU) where he received a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing and a certificate of Digital Marketing Strategies. Derek served as the Marketing Manager for an online jewelry retailer and later started his own digital marketing firm which specialized in small business marketing in Portland. In addition, Derek has worked with several nonprofits and local groups including Social Media Club of Portland, and Portland American Marketing Association. He also has been a guest speaker on digital marketing for local business groups including the Beaverton Chamber of Commerce. Derek lives in Beaverton, OR a suburb of Portland, with his lovely wife. He loves music, considers himself a foodie, and has won a car on a game show. Derek brings enthusiasm to his work and loves it when he can make small businesses more successful.
