FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every estimate is free, written, and itemized. We price from the actual paintable surfaces (walls, ceilings, trim, siding), not a rough per-square-foot guess, so you only pay for what actually gets painted. Prep work like cleaning, patching, sanding, caulking, and spot-priming is included as standard. Any significant rot or repair is itemized separately and approved by you before we start. The price you approve is the price you pay, with no surprise add-ons, and any change is discussed and approved by you first. For planning purposes, whole-home interiors typically run about $4,200–$9,500 and exterior repaints about $5,500–$12,000 for homes of 1,800–2,400 sq ft. Exact pricing always comes from a written estimate after an on-site walkthrough.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Free walkthrough: we visit your property, talk through your goals, and measure the real surfaces to be painted. 2) Assess prep and condition: patching, caulking, moisture damage, and failing paint are identified and itemized up front, never discovered mid-job. 3) Written quote: you get a fixed, line-item quote with a schedule, usually within 24 hours and often right on-site. 4) Color help: we offer color consultation and sample draw-downs so you can see options on your own walls. 5) The work: we mask and protect floors, fixtures, and furnishings, move what's reasonable, and keep the site tidy. You have a single point of contact from estimate to final walkthrough. 6) Final walkthrough, backed by our craftsmanship warranty of up to 5 years.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Palisade Painting Co is a licensed Oregon contractor (CCB #263301). Every job is handled by experienced, certified painters who are trained in proper surface prep and application for the Pacific Northwest climate. We only use premium, low-VOC paints suited to Oregon's conditions.
