FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We use unit-cost estimating. We take the time to look at a house and figure out exactly how long it will take us to do the job, as well as the cost of the amount of materials we will use. This allows us to provide a firm price that won't change once work has been started or is complete.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to meet with a customer before anything else. Allowing us to talk to the customer to find out what they actually want done to their house is crucial to ensuring that our estimate covers exactly what work will be done.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Consider things beyond just price. A low priced contractor isn't going to be much good if they cut corners. Additionally, consider what type of customer service structure they have in place. Not being able to get a hold of your contractor can cause much unneeded stress, and is unacceptable when you are trusting someone with the care of your house. A small increase in price may well be worth the better experience you'll have.
